Global Expeditions mission trips give us a chance to do so many things we as Christians are called to do. Yes it is very important to reach the nations and to help others and you will do that. But, we also focus so much on personal growth and on Christian friendships. I hope that this verse encourages you to know that preparing now for your missions trip will benefit you when it is your season. When you are preparing for your trip be encouraged and do not let the lies of the enemy contradict your excitement and faith for the money you must raise or your calling to the place you will go. You have such a calling and you are never alone in your journey towards missions. With Gods word and His help you can make it there.

Throughout the Scriptures we are told to go out and make disciples of all nations. In 3 out of 4 gospels, Acts, Romans, and various other books we are told this. Without mission trips the church would not be where it is at today, not as many people would be saved, and not that many would know the truth. How sad! In Romans it tells us how beautiful the feet are of those who spread the good news. And they truly are. They are needed. In Isaiah Ch. 6 when Isaiah saw the Lord, God asked,” Whom shall I send, who will go for us?” Isaiah says,” Here I am, Send me.” We as His people should say the same exact thing. It should be our desire to do God’s Will. So this summer listen and obey the voice of God and go on a mission trip and spread His message.

James 1:27 says this Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you. (NLT) Nowadays we kinda get confused about the meaning of the word ‘religion.’ We tend to think of some legalistic standard that is truly impossible to meet. But my belief is that what it meant back then is a relationship with God, which is what we want. God is all about relationship. This why He said that true religion is caring for orphans and widows in their pain, He wants us to care for others! This is more than going to other countries (which are still important) but going to places around your home town like the day-care or a pregnancy resource center or even a homeless shelter and volunteering your time there. God wants to use to be a light in dark and lonely places. God can use us anywhere we are. Will you embrace the call?

Jeremiah 4:5-8

As young people, God calls even us to speak for Him!
If it’s from Him, He’ll carry us through, so speak out as He calls...
We can be used.
God is giving you all opportunities to be ambassadors for Him!
To share the gospel for righteousness, salvation, for the Kingdom, and for His Glory!!

who am I in Christ?

Who am I, my true self at the core? My true self is my spirit united with Christ. And as such, every character trait, gift, talent, ability, fruit, blessing, etc. found in Christ is in my true self as well! As Hudson Taylor put it, “It is a wonderful thing to be really one with a risen and exalted Saviour, to be a member of Christ! Think what it involves. Can Christ be rich and I poor? Can your right hand be rich and your left poor? or your head be well fed while your body starves?” Talk about a discovery that will change your life…wow!

Ok, so I signed up for the Miami 09 missions trip with absolutely NO money. I really felt that God was calling me to this trip, so I sent out some support letters telling people what I was doing. I waited… waited some more... And $25 dollars came in... It wasn’t till the last day that the 50% was due that 716 dollars came in from an auction that my mom and a friend put on. God is definitely faithful to provide, even if it is at the last moment!

Without mission trips, where would Christianity and Christ’s message of the gospel be? We are told by our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to go on mission trips. We should not consider this our duty, but our joy. Think about this, if we were all poor people and homeless and without food and you found out where there was a free buffet, wouldn’t you want to spread that message to everyone. We should spread the word about how wonderful and awesome our God is and what He has done for us. We owe Him that much. God loves us all so very much and wants all of us to be with Him where He is. Without mission trips the Gospel would be no where. We have to go on mission trips to tell of God’s message to us. That we can be saved through the blood of His Son Jesus and have forgiveness of sins, and have communion and fellowship with Him. How awesome is that. Go and Spread His Message throughout the nations and the world!

Faith is...

remembering that in the kingdom of God everything is based on promise, not feeling

remembering the fact that though I feel condemned God now has nothing against me

remembering I am indespensable to God when I feel I only clutter up the landscape

accepting that God's work has made me clean clean clean when my basic concept of myself is soiled dirty defiled

depending on God's enablement to live and be blessed in a fallen world rather than insisting he change it

speaking the truth in love even at the cost of position or relationship

the handle by which I take God's promises and appply them to my particular problems

the dependence of a newborn

the conviction of realities I can not see or feel

expecting a sea of golden grain from the bleak barren endless fields wattered only by my tears where I walk alone

resting on the fact that I am not on probation with God

realizing that feeling totally inadequate week needy and empty is not the worst that can happen to me but the best

appreciating that my capacity to feel communicate think acheive choose create and commune with God comes from His making me like Himself

letting go of that which God is asking me for

giving up that image of perfection I struggle for...accepting grace

refusing the thinking that God loves and cherishes the popular attractive talented Christian more than he loves and cherishes plain me

fantasy like unless it is made real in the way I interact with other people

developed through hardship disillusionment disappointment conflict frustration failure loss...not through stained glass nor sweet religious props

living with the unexplained

remembering that the saint who drives me crazy in indwelt by God and is precious to him

the way to please God

resting in the facr that though life is not fair the righteous judge says he will settle all accounts fairly, eternally in Heaven

confidence that God is acting for my highest good when he answers no to my prayers

remembering tha tin the midst of my heartache nothing can change my greatest blessing, his presence with me

reliance on the certainty that God has a pattern for my life when everything seems meaningless

not related to me believeing hard enough nor my emotional exhilaration or flatness, but rests on what God guarantees in his word

not faith in itself but faith in the facts of scripture, facts of Christ's death, facts of his reasurrection

recognizing that God is the Lord of time when my idea of timing doesn't agree with his

marveling in the fact that nothing less than the Glory of God's presence dwells in me...his temple

accepting the truth in spite of the wreckage I've caused and greived over. God who has whiped the slate clean delights in me.

keeping on when I am dog tired discouraged disillusioned deserted dusty dry- cast on his strength alone

waiting patiently for God to make me more Christ- like through people and circumstances when I want him to give me a quick fix, preferably painless

remembering he has said I am precious in his sight...his beloved

expecting God to accomplish miracles through insignificant me with my five loaves and two fishes

remembering I carry God's Awesome presence into each daily routine encounter when I feel like a dull leaden weight

accepting the ordinary as God's best for me when I want to be something special

thanking God when I am left with shattered plans that he has better plans

doing the right thing regardless of the consequences knowing God will turn the ultimate effect to good

having confidence that God will take the bad choices others have made that affected me and use them for my ultimate good

confidence in God's faithfulness to me in an uncertain world on an uncharted course toward and unknown future

accepting the fact that God knows better than I do what is ultimately good for me

walking before God not before my friends

trusting that God is doing his work in me when I feel inwardly cold hollow lifeless deserted and I long for reassuring feelings

remembering that I am God's priceless treasuer when I feel utterly worthless

realizing that I am useful to God not inspite of my scars but because of them

brothers and sisters in Christ

We were born and created as brothers and sisters in Christ.

We were born under one father, one name, one blood line- Jesus Christ. God is our father first and foremost. We are all adopted into the Kingdom of God.

and if you didn't already know..you are dearly dearly loved. By our saviour, our Love.

we are called to love as He loved...unconditionally; and the unlovable. To bless and not curse. To love and not hate, to give before we take. To consider everyone better than ourselves.
